3.7 Insert a function in cell J7 to calculate the age of the athlete, in completed
years, on the date of the meet given in cell J2.
Copy the function to cell J46. (4)

3.9 Each athlete pays the fee per event given in cell J3 for every event that the
         athlete entered (column G).
Insert a formula in cell L7 to calculate the amount due by each athlete. Copy
the formula to cell L46. (3)

QUESTION 4: DATABASE
The database contains details of the coaches, the partner schools and the athletes of
TrackStars Limpopo.
Open the 4TrackStars database.
4.1 Open the tblCoaches table in Design View and edit it as follows:
4.1.1 Change the field size of the Surname field to 25. (1)
4.1.2 Create an input mask for the CellNo field so that:
                      • TEN compulsory digits must be entered
                      • The number is displayed with spaces as in the example: 082 555
                        1234
                      • The hash symbol (#) is used as the placeholder character (3)
4.1.3 Insert a validation rule for the YearsExp field so that only values from
1 up to and including 40 can be entered. Add appropriate validation
                     text. (3)
4.1.4 Set a property of the Province field so that ’Limpopo’ is automatically
entered for every new record. (1)
4.1.5 Set a property of the Email field so that it may NOT be left empty. (1)
4.1.6 Modify the lookup properties of the Level field so that a user can
select ONLY ’Club’, ’District’ or ’Provincial’ from a drop-down list. A
user must NOT be able to type any other value. (3)
Save the tblCoaches table and open it in Datasheet View.
4.1.7 Change the datasheet of the tblCoaches table so that the font size
is 12 pt AND the alternate row colour is any light orange colour. (2)
Save and close the tblCoaches table.
4.2 Create a form called frm4_2 based on the tblAthletes table as follows:

           • Change the background colour of the Detail section to any light colour.
Save and close the frm4_2 form. (5)
4.3 Create a query called qry4_3 based on the tblAthletes table.
           • Display ONLY the AthleteID, Surname, Gender, DOB and HeatTime
             fields.
           • Display ONLY the girls (F) who were born in 2010 or 2011.

QUESTION 6: GENERAL
Open the 6Coaches spreadsheet that contains the details of the TrackStars coaches. Work
in the Coaches worksheet.
6.1 Change the page setup settings of the worksheet as follows:
           • Landscape orientation
           • Row 1 must be printed at the top of EVERY page.
           • The data must be centred horizontally on the page. (3)
6.2 Use a spreadsheet feature to display ONLY the coaches from Polokwane
AND Seshego. Do NOT delete any data.
Save the worksheet, with the filter applied, as a PDF file called 6Coaches in
         your examination folder. (3)
Save and close the 6Coaches spreadsheet.
6.3 TrackStars wants to award certificates to the athletes who finished in the top
         three places of each event.
Open the 6Certificate document and prepare the certificates using mail
         merge as follows:
           • Use the 6Winners spreadsheet as the data source.
           • ONLY athletes who finished in position 1, 2 or 3 must receive a certificate.
           • Replace the text <<NAME>> with the FirstName and Surname fields
(with a space between them) and the text <<EVENT>> with the Event
             field.
           • Save the 6Certificate document in your examination folder.
           • Complete the merge and save the merged document as 6Merged. (5)
Close the 6Certificate and 6Merged documents.
6.4 Open the 6Report document.
Replace the text ’Question/Vraag 6.4’ with the data in cells A1:B5 of the
Summary worksheet of the 6Coaches spreadsheet, so that the data in
6Report will be updated automatically when the data in the spreadsheet
         changes. (3)
Save and close the 6Report document. [14]
