FORMAL LETTER
Your school is planning a Family Fun Day to raise money for new library books.
The organising committee needs prizes and refreshments for the day.
Write a letter to the Manager of a supermarket in your area in which you ask
for a donation and explain how the school and the community will benefit.

OBITUARY
A well-known soccer coach in your community has passed away. For more
than twenty years he/she coached young people for free after school and kept
many of them off the streets.
Write an obituary in which you pay tribute to the coach.

REVIEW
Your school newsletter has a page called ‘Teen Picks’ on which learners
recommend books and films to one another.
Write a review of a book OR a film that you have recently read or watched.
Your review will be published in the newsletter.

DIALOGUE
You borrowed your older sister’s/brother’s laptop without asking him/her and
accidentally spilled cooldrink on the keyboard. The laptop no longer works
properly, and he/she needs it for a college assignment.
