• Write an essay of 250–300 words (approximately 5–7 paragraphs) on ONE of the following
topics.
• Write down the NUMBER and the TITLE/HEADING of your essay, e.g. 1.1 My Hidden
Talent.

Think of a busy place that you know well – a taxi rank, a market, a stadium on
match day or a school hall before a concert. Describe this place at its busiest
moment. Appeal to as many of the senses (sight, sound, smell, touch and taste)
as you can.

future.

school next year. In a voice note he/she told you that he/she is nervous about
making friends, getting lost and coping with the work.
Write a letter to your cousin in which you share your own experience of high
school and give him/her advice.

reading club for children aged 5 to 9 during the December holidays.
• Mondays to Thursdays, 09:00–12:00, from 7 to 17 December (not on 16
December, a public holiday)
• Duties: reading stories aloud, helping with crafts and games, packing away
books
• A small allowance and a certificate will be given.

Write the dialogue between you and your friend in which you try to persuade
him/her not to buy or use the answers.

Last Saturday, learners from your school, together with members of the
community, cleaned up the polluted stream that runs past the school. They
