Quantitative Literacy (QL) notes

The Quantitative Literacy (QL) test assesses your ability to manage situations using quantitative information: numbers, data, and mathematical reasoning applied to real-world contexts. Unlike the…

The majority of QL questions are based on data presented visually: in tables, graphs, and charts. Being able to extract, compare, and calculate from these formats is the single most important QL…

Quantitative reasoning goes beyond simple calculation. It's about making sense of numbers in context. The QL test presents real-world scenarios and expects you to identify what calculation is…

Many QL questions require more than one calculation to reach the answer. These multi-step problems test your ability to plan a sequence of operations, keep track of intermediate results, and arrive…

A key part of quantitative literacy is the ability to identify patterns in data, describe trends, and understand relationships between variables. The QL test often asks you to predict what comes…

The QL test doesn't require you to prove geometric theorems, but it does require you to apply basic geometry in real-world contexts. This includes calculating areas and volumes for practical…

The most challenging QL questions require you to combine information from two or more sources: a table AND a graph, an advert AND a price list, or a map AND a timetable. These questions test whether…

Your QL score depends not only on your mathematical ability but on your exam strategy, time management, and comfort with data-rich scenarios. This section covers proven strategies for preparing for…
