It represents the cross-section of a semi-circular gutter with O the centre of the semi-circle. There is silt at the bottom of the gutter. The surface of the silt, CD, is parallel to the surface of the water, AB. Important angles, in radians, are as shown in the diagram. If the radius of the gutter is 12 cm and the gutter is 2 m long, then calculate the volume of water in the gutter, to the nearest litre. Remember: 1 cm3 = 1 ml and 1 litre = 1 000 ml.
