The IEB will not enter into any discussions or correspondence about any marking guidelines. It is acknowledged that there may be different views about some matters of emphasis or detail in the guidelines. It is also recognised that, without the benefit of attendance at a standardisation meeting, there may be different interpretations of the application of the marking guidelines. Shri Ramchandra and Sitaji had two sons, Lav and Kush. Lav and Kush's birth took place in rishi Valmiki Ashram. Both the princes grew up in the ashram. They had great respect for Rishi Valmiki. Valmiki taught Lav and Kush to read and write. He taught them the art of warfare. With the blessing of the Rishi Lav and Kush became great heroes. They did not know their father Shri Ramchandra. There was once a very poor family consisting of the husband, wife and a few children. They had to work hard to earn money for their food, and often went from market to market begging for a few coins or pieces of bread. Poor as they were, even the sight of money in the hands of the rich produced a thrill in their hearts. When they received a few small coins from kind-hearted people, they used to buy the bare necessities from the market and enjoy the rest for a while on returning home.
