Ingredients
4 Twinkies, frozen for 1 hour
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup water
Vegetable oil, for deep frying
Decoration: icing sugar
Instructions
1. Gather the ingredients, leaving Twinkies in the freezer until the oil is pre-heated.
2. In a heavy bottomed pot, pre-heat the oil to 350 F.
3. Combine the flour, vinegar, salt, and water in a mixing bowl.
4. Once the oil is pre-heated, remove Twinkies from freezer and dip in batter.
5. Fry the Twinkies in a deep fryer, in hot oil, until golden brown. This could take 1 to 1½
minutes.
6. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
Other sweet treat options
Other deep-fried treats include Oreos. The above deep fry recipe can be used on almost
any sweet treat. Try deep-frying these snack favourites: Snickers, Bar-One or Lunch Bar.
Just be sure your chosen item is very cold and fried quickly.
