Miss Gillian Palmer Teacher 1976 – 2019 It is incredible to think that our school has been going strong for so many years. I have seen the school develop and grow. Once I actually taught in the garage behind the tuck shop while we waited for the new prefab classrooms to arrive. Class teaching went all the way to Grade 5 and as a class teacher I taught all the subjects including religious studies, needle work, health and handwriting. Projects were completed at home with plenty of input from parents. The learners made use of the school library for all their research. Encyclopaedias and non-fiction books were the only sources of written information available. There was no google in those days! Source: Bedfordview Primary School Yearbook. (2019) 2. From the information that you read, write down 2 questions that you could ask Miss Palmer to find out information about the past of your school. Accept any 2 questions based on the information above. For example, did you always teach in your same classroom? Has the school built more classrooms? Did the Grade 4s changed classes in the past? Did class teaching always go up to Grade 3? The train conductors are shouting at Gandhi and telling him to move to the third class carriage or get off the train. He is being treated unfairly because of his race as first class was for white people only. We should all show respect for each other regardless of our race, religion or culture. 5 | BEDFORDVIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL HISTORY PAGE TOTAL:
