The media can show marriage in many negative ways such as displaying a
person who has only been married for a month and is getting divorced - less
commitment by spouses
It over estimates the intimacy of people’s relationships by giving the
impression that they don’t have problems at all
It usually compares relationship of one person with the other online-People
may possibly adopt behaviours , attitudes, and beliefs from those within their
social network
Media can extend the sphere of influence by including people you would like
to meet -Make people to believe that you can have a relationship and marry
a person whom you met online
Media can make people to confuse digital intimacy for true intimacy- People
become seduced by ease of connecting with others online and begin to
think that the relationships are more intense
Media makes people more susceptible to Social Media Contagion Effect-
Even though you have never met a person in real live, their ‘ bad behaviour
can still influence yours
